Maryam Rouzbahani is an Iranian-Australian visual artist , based in Brisbane. She studied Visual Arts at the University of Canberra and later completed studies in Education and Management at Queensland University of Technology. Alongside her artistic practice, Maryam has been working as an art teacher for several years, teaching art to children and young people in Australia.
She is deeply interested in Persian ancient cultural heritage and strives to integrate Persian art with the art of the world and the land in which she now lives in Australia. Through her artistic works, Maryam seeks to create communication between different cultures and communities.
